I've read recently somewhere that the Redlands line will have, and/or, is designed to also accommodate direct ML trains, and there was even some mention of peak ML trains departing Redlands.

And, I totally agree that running direct (non transfer) AM and PM peak Metrolink commuter service both on the IE/OC and the SGV lines, starting out from and terminating at Redlands, at least for some peak services, is an excellent idea...
