Vartabedian, based on my readings of some of his nonsense over the years, is a third rate hack working to gin up "copy" to attract advertising "eyes" for the El Segundo Advertiser, with his unique "style" of so-called journalism. But like the Mouse, and the proverbial "broke clock", even they can sometimes be "right", although never more than twice a day.
It's just too bad that Vartabedian doesn't really have to be that good a reporter to uncover a pile of rotting fish that's been dumped right under his nose that is the CAHSRA fiasco, does he?
Apparently, even doing a half assed job of going after the incompetence, arrogance, waste, mismanagement, and bloated costs of the "runaway money train" makes for an easy meal ticket, even for a third rate reporter.
I understand the doing PR for the dysfunctional CAHSRA, to fend off these press stories, and now these political attacks, to try and refute the critics has probably been a pretty good meal ticket for some folks, too.
We all have to eat....
