Just wondering. A ship unloads dockside directly into well cars.Unless the ships containers are all going to one destination, say Chicago it makes good sense. However if a ships containers are going all over the country there must be a lot of switching to build trains going to different destinations. I could see where trucking containers to yards where trains are built for specific destinations might make more sense. What am i missing?
