Since the vast majority of the organization's members are not actually involved at the museum, they believe--and vote for--those who control the mailing list. The fact is that the Association was NEVER strictly a trolley museum, and often went to considerable lengths to obtain "railroad" equipment. However, the the "train" people's efforts had to be quashed when they got too successful and the "trolley" people felt that their mojo was being threatened.
