I started hanging out at Black Butte in the early 1970's . Of course it's the junction for the Siskiyou line. It was a hobo mecca. Water tanks meant trains would be stopping so riders could hop on or off. Carvings in the structure below the tank still have dates of colorful hobo names from the 20's and thirties. I was trying to add to the discussion about Trespassing.
It's crazy how these topics derail into mean spirited personal attacks. I really don't get it.Is it all kinda fun to try and be witty and put each other down and it just a game or do some of you really hate other posters? I retired from the railroad . Long before i had heard of foamers it was train nuts. Everyone knows more about railroading than the other guy. So here i am asking train nuts why they are nuts. I guess that makes me a wack job too.
