The Connector will also allow for using staging at the Gold Line "ready tracks" at the Bullring, like is done when schedules are upped during rush hour. The turnaround really became more problematic at 7th and Flower, after the opening of the Expo line.

The MTA and its contractors did use this hiatus with the LRT portion of the station partially shut down at 7th and Flower, to punch through into the station box. And, to do a lot of work for the connection into the station from the north.

Meanwhile, folks can get to the USC games again, from Union Station. So the OC ML/LOSSAN alumni "party trains" will be full again this season. Monthly passenger counts have really eaten it this spring and summer, as a result of these shutdowns, what is surprising is how well the GL, the subway, and even Expo itself have held up, despite that.
