J.Smith - you're right. There isn't scrapyards in the Bay Area anymore. The ones that do exist are called recycling facilities.
Just like there aren't dumps anymore either. For example the Guadalupe Dump is now the Guadalupe Recycling and Disposal Facility. But they are still dumps.
