That's not the trackage onto Mare Island...this is: [www.google.com]

The trackage onto the island comes across Mare Island Bridge. From the same Google images, you can follow the tracks across the bridge and see that the rails have neither been cut, nor paved over. I believe Alstom is still receiving cars. The rails past Alstom, however, have been removed. That is what the original posting shows.
