Yes, all three of the UP executive E Units were completely re-manufactured to GP38-2 electrical systems and one 16-645E roots blown prime mover in each unit (thus 2000 HP each). The current excuse from Cheyenne is the 36 inch diameter wheels are worn and replacements are no longer available (which isn't true).
