Are you a qualified track inspector? Do you know the track safety standards for class 1 track? The minimum non defective crossties in a 39 ft. section of track? What constitutes a non defective crosstie? Railroad track can look bad to the average person and still be legal and safe to run trains. How do you and your wife know "very terrible conditions exist" if your not qualified to inspect track and know basic track safety standards part 213? If there was a recent reportable derailment caused by defective track conditions you can be sure the FRA has inspected the track and determined it safe to run trains.
