Really dude?
When RailAmerica acquired VCRR after 2000, they really went cheap enough to try to merge it with SDIY, starting with management, crews and mow.
The WESTERN REGION thing (Now under G&W) is sort of managed from Bakersfield. A conglomerate of San Joaquin Valley Railroad, San Diego and Imperial Valley, Ventura County Railroad, Arizona and California and Arizona Eastern Railroad.
It's too good that a non union shortline conglomerate, specially Genesee and Wyoming Western Region decided not to put ONE GM for four different railroads. Matt already has to put up the crap of two operations, so leave him alone.
