During all the activities out in California, Director Scott George (the boss of the current manager in Cheyenne) told a group of folks that it cost $20,000 a DAY to operate the 4014 special. Personally, I think that amount is a bit low. Back in the old days of 844 and/or 3985, Steve Lee figured (budgeted) $6000 to $7000 a day for operating expenses.
