No foamer here, whiny or otherwise. 48 years and counting
working at class 1s.

Managers are justifiably unhappy due to having this
clown show take up more of their time, energy and
resources while they are being hammered from all sides
with budget and manpower cuts, PSR, unhappy customers
and are being stretched thin. Here comes this thing,
being pushed by a diesel, doing almost nothing itself,
and bringing a horde of ignorant civilians onto the
property with 0% understanding that it's an active
industrial area.

A huge percentage of this mob thinks the UP has opened a
new theme park, and they are entitled to go anywhere and
do anything they want. Meanwhile, whose budget do you
think has to absorb those extra costs, including crowd
control, pilot crews and the associated deadheads? Especially
when they end the day short of a regular crew change point.
Plus having to deal with a self-entitled and demanding prima
donna.

Who do you think had to pay for all the crews (34) it took to
get this thing from Pomona to Cheyenne 5 years ago? Think of
that for a minute.....34 crews and deadheads to and from, to do
what normally would require 7 or 8 to do. HINT: Not Omaha,
and not a PR or advertising budget. Put the cherry on top of
being short of crews at the time and you get the idea. Maybe,
though I seriously doubt it.

Yes, it's big and impressive looking. But it isn't doing much,
if any work, so the sound and feel is not there, nor are skills
evident. It's a charade, and it has a huge bull's eye on it for
the next round of cuts to get the holy operating ratio down.
