Hoghead did what I'd do. That's all you can do, when your done doing what you can do, and then you pray.... It "appeared" to stop so quickly, because he was already in emergency before the impact. There are multiple videos, an event recorder, and he seems to have done what you're supposed to do...

So, it is interesting that these folks describe this release of the engineers statement and the video, as "his side" of the "story".... WTF? There is no "side" here. The "story" is pretty clear and well documented. There are just the facts. This is an unfortunate accident, entirely due to events completely out of the control of anyone or anything, except maybe God, not the patrolman, not the choo-choo, not the engineer, not even the unfortunate victim in this case...

That patrolman definitely deserves the medal, and it's too bad that the victim apparently died from his medical emergency...
