LA Metro Blue Line (now "A" Line) reopens

Much of the line follows the old PE Long Beach line, which was shut down (in PE form) in 1964 by a predecessor to LA Metro. It was one of the earliest modern light rail lines in the US when reopened, and has been one of the busiest. The extended shutdown for reconstruction did not leave many riders amused...but it's now officially done.
