It has been reported that this line is for sale as part of UP's precision scheduled railroading reforms that it is undertaking. I know UP had a list of lines for sale, but it has been taken down and some lines are no longer being offered, but I know of at least one
group that has hyrailed the Montana Sub. Will try to find out more.
