Regarding the potential re-purposing of El Toro MCAS -- I was living & working in Orange County when the issue came up for a vote. I mentioned to several co -workers that I had voted for the air freight & civilian aviation option. To which a co - worker said : " Thanks a lot -- I live under the take - off pattern at El Toro.
" To which I replied: " Was El Toro MCAS operating when you bought your house ??? "
" Yes "
" Then Shut Up !!! "
