What a brutal god&amn train BART is. Friends and I, and a parent, rode the whole system when it was fairly new, and that was my impression of it even then compared to the passenger trains I had enjoyed on Amtrak and before...

I commuted via Caltrain for three years and riding it was one of the best aspects of the job, especially enjoying a nice cold beer after work going home on the train.
