Was the 4014 a good trade off?

Was trading the 3985 in for the 4014 a good trade off? When you get past the 4014 hype we lost a good locomotive for a locomotive that can't even pull its own weight unless its on flat territory and even that might be giving it to much credit. What about the 844? As far as I'm concerned it has been semi retired. We won't be seeing the 844 for a long time with the 4014 being the big show now. Lets not even get into the other historical equipment in Cheyenne that hasn't run for years and may not ever run again due to miss management.
