It will be very interesting to watch. Muni has been the asylum running at the behest of the inmates for years--much of it infuriating riders. The recurrent issue of "switchbacks"--which one year caused confiscation of the switch irons--devolves from chronically late running LRV operators deciding to head for the barn "ontime" leaving evicted pax on the street in evening rush. We will see if Tumlin has enough backing from Breed to actually try to fix this issue. If he does, expect serious pushback from TWU.
