How would Jack's employees even use the new service since Metrolink ONLY serves Los Angeles in the morning and REDLANDS in the evening?

If you start your job at Jack's at 8:30am and you live in Covina, good luck not having to keep driving to and from work.

...or will I ever see a Metrolink system that can operate reverse commute ???

I see the failure of the Perris branch with the worthess (and now obsolete) shuttle to Rivercide that RCTC flubbed.

I hope Redlands is not part two.
