Thanks for that, Bob. I came across his name during the back-and-forth in the run-up to the start of the Expo line in, oh, about the year 2000. Especially amusing were his remarks on the Blue Line, prior to Expo.
I was curious about the Expo line from 1300 miles away because, as a kid, about age 10, I had (foolishly) hopped the diesel-hauled local, some years after the wires had come down on the Santa Monica Air Line, nee the Los Angeles&Independence R.R.
