I was always under the impression that the remaining original trackage was to get a refurbish, did this not happen? Will it happen next year? I find the speed of 20 mph to be rather interesting since the class ones try to avoid speeds between 12 and 20 mph for harmonic rocking reasons (not that this is an issue now with new track, although, I've seen some impressive rocking get started on jointed rail and really good track on a train that just didn't have the power to muster more that 18 mph.) Why wasn't 25 mph chosen since, if I recall correctly, 25 mph is still a good yard limit operation speed.?
