Greenbrier has their various railcar subsidiaries build railcars. Their leasing division leases them.

Greenbrier completed purchase of ARI who 'can' build tank cars in the USA but they traditionally look different.

I don't know if Greenbrier intends to offer a car for LNG export.

BNSF and the other RR's seem to prefer 'new' cars foe the Bakken crude and ethanol even though there are tons of older cars in storage yet to convert.
