Was the local the Mead Turn or the Chewelah Turn? Hillyard, years ago, used to have a distributer of stoker coal for the few homes in the Spokane area that used stoker coal for winter heat, they used to get one or two cars each fall to supply those. I don't know if this business still exists or not. Just a thought.
