As long as we are off topic and on politics:
>> It's a shame what all those Clinton people are going to do to her,
What Clinton People?
So where is all this change Obama promised us was going to happen; if the same old hacks are going to be brought back into power.
Indeed; one of the first (and biggest) of Bush's many mistakes, was to carry over so many state department hacks installed during the Clinton administration (almost 50%). I guess the Dems will never learn either!
>> In related Amtrak news, Obama said he'd be on the watch for programs that don't work and cut them. Bad news for transit!
NOT SO!
At the heart of socialism is state ownership of the means of production. Entities such as BART, MetroLink, CTA, NYCTA, Amtrak, virtually all mass transit in America, fits that bill to a tee.
Over his entire career as a "community activist", the man consistently advocated collectivist government programs and activities. Though he greatly moderated his rhetoric after the conventions and during the general election campaign, he just as consistently spouted Marxist rhetoric (go ahead - compare his words to Karl Marx's manifesto - which is on wikipedia). For better or worse - he is marxist at heart.
Nay - Great day for public transit (as it actually is) - bad day for corporately owned transportation (not that I care anymore!).
Now - back on topic:
How about them "Extreme Trains" - on Tuesday night ?
