As noted on the Utah Rails roster, when the KCC units had their cab roofs lowered for service on MKT / UP, the cab roof ended up being too low, as the roof didn't have any space between the numberboards and roof as on normal EMD cabs. This ( along with the higher, more angular fuel tanks ) makes these units easy to spot today on UP.
