It's so bad you'd have to watch it to believe it. The only way you were ever going to get spoiled brat commuters from Marin and Sonoma out of their vehicles and onto the NWP would have been double track with standard equipment like Caltrain. The ferry connection was so optimal, it's difficult to understand how they could have screwed it up this badly if they weren't trying to on purpose.

However, by plying with glee the celebrated old razor of Hanlon, we can dispose of unnecessary attributions of malice by SMART and declare that in fact, SMART is quite STUPID.

How hard can it be to hire someone who does? In all seriousness, there's model railroads in people's garages that are more challenging to operate than the SMART system.
