Dcjb, you are most welcome.
Pdxrailtransit, I've been up by Redding, CA for the last few years. We used to get SD59MX's on the Redding Turn frequently, until about a year ago when UP changed it's duties. It now typically only gets a single GP40-2. The Roseville based ones are still running around on various local manifests and haulers in NorCal. I can't really comment on the LA based batch of SD59MX's.
Kevin, you likly heard the Santa Margarita Turn. It's based out of Watsonville Jct. and runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Wednesdays it typically will run south to San Lucas, and Saturdays it will typically run south to Paso Robles. It works the remaining industrious on the Coast Sub. UP quit running the Coast Cans just over a year ago. There were a few moves of tank cars to and from Wunpost shortly afterwards via the Santa Marg Turn, and I'm not aware of any recently. Mil trains to and from McKay, are neat if you can catch them, but they tend to run in clusters once or twice a year.
The Santa Marg Turn was always a favorite of mine to chase when in the area.
