AMTK short on locomotives

AMTK 6 originated Oakland w/only P-42 loco #156.
Engineer said he is picking up a UP5255 at Roseville
To get over Donner and Rockies
I read that AMTK is getting a bid or ordering 70 challengers for intercity trains. Hope those locos arrive ASAP.
As hard as AMTK has run those P-42 they are tired. I think they are essentially a GE B32-8 modified to passengers.
The class one railroads have retired B32-8’s or moved them to local jobs/switchers (BNSF).
