I forgot only them Dems ride trains and support Amtrak, silly me.
And yet most rural residents are Republicans: see any voting map with red and blue color coding.
"Agriculture, food, and related industries contributed $1.053 trillion to U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) in 2017, a 5.4-percent share. The output of America's farms contributed $132.8 billion of this sum—about 1 percent of GDP."
"The electric power industry in the United States supports more than 7 million jobs - or one in 20 American jobs - and contributes 5 percent of total gross domestic product, or GDP."
"Nationally, paper, wood and furniture manufacturing industries are 5.7% of total manufacturing GDP, and approximately $92.0 billion of forestry-related businesses' contribution to GDP is associated with private timberland. Private timberland is associated with approximately 5.2% of manufacturing GDP."
Overall, forest products comprise about 1.5% of the total U.S. economy, and contribute about 5% of total manufacturing output in the country
