Hello, flying monkey. Using the Frank Morgan defense, I see (you can google it).
1.) I was born in the most Republican city in the most Republican county in Indiana, a state not known as hotbed of radical anything.
I urged, as a schoolboy the election of Richard Nixon in 1960. I have taught history and government, including critical thinking skills and, yes I have lived abroad, twice on separate occasions.
I have also studied German language and German history.to graduate school level.
I have ridden trains since I was a babe in arms, including with my grandfather, the NYC conductor, and across and up and down this country and also widely in Europe and the UK.
I have spent much time in diverse libraries reading every book I could lay hands on ABOUT RAILROADS and RAILROADING.
I can honestly say that I have tried to sharpen my skills and bolster my knowledge
on the connections between railroads and politics over the past 50 years so that my arguments and conclusions are based on verifiable evidence and facts grounded inconsensual reality. I have seen at close hand the effects of the preaching of hatred and self-serving hysteria on what had been previously thought to have been a highly civilized and intelligent nation.
I would much rather spend my time here expanding my horizons on the iron horse, but there is too much misinformation and disinformation masquerading as opinion presented here with a straight face to go unanswered. Get your reading comprehension skills practice in when citing my posts, and, for God's, keep it to REAL railroading minus the playground insults, if that's not too much to ask.
