Pete Buttigieg is a veteran who served our nation in Afghanistan. Donald Trump on the other hand:
1) Dodged serving in Vietnam with four deferments ("Cadet bonespurs")
2) Disparaged the Gold Star family of Humayun Khan, a Muslim soldier killed in an Iraq suicide attack in 2004.
3) Equated his promiscuity with serving in Vietnam: Trump boasted on the Howard Stern show about surviving his brave challenges of sleeping around with women who might have sexually transmitted diseases. "It is a dangerous world out there — it's scary, like Vietnam," he said in 2004.
4) Ridiculed John McCain's service in the Vietnam War.
Politically, I have disagreed with many (probably most) of John McCain's positions. In particular, and relevant to Altamontpress, McCain was vehemently anti-Amtrak. That said, as a private citizen or if I was ever running for office or became an elected official, I would never ridicule McCain or any other veteran for his or her service.
You could have just written about the movie without all of the obnoxious political commentary.
