Sometimes there are parts of a picture that are more interesting than the train, even a Big Boy. I can remember a photo outing on the NN when a photographer friend suggested that I focus on the sky because it was more interesting than the NN40 and its train. Here in my opinion is another example. Obviously I was there to chase the 4014, but when I reviewed the image in Photoshop it was clear the low sun on the sage brush created a "velvety" effect that was really more interesting than the train itself, so I reframed the image to focus on the foreground with the train becoming just part of the background. Just curious as to what others think, who like me really prefer the train.
More interesting than the train?
