Like any good addict, after swearing off following the V&T Commission I have the monkey on my back again. This is harder to quit than a soap opera or heroin. :>)

This next meeting will be interesting, I have forwarded the agenda with some comments, sorry for any poor formatting...

Here's the agenda for the next V&T Re-con Commission meeting. Some highlights:

-- Sierra Railroad has created a Nevada corporation and wants to re-assign a MOU and the #18 lease to the Nevada corporation, Sierra Nevada Railroad Corporation
-- The Commission is negotiating with the Gray's Virginia and Truckee Railroad to operate trains in the short term over the existing track
-- The Commission wants to fix up their current station property on Drako Way in Carson City and run buses to Mound House
-- Sierra Nevada Railroad Corp. seems likely to fight for the near-term operation contract
-- Surprisingly the Commission is going to begin appraising properties for Phase 3 through the Carson River Canyon. The only way they'll have money to follow through and purchase these properties is if they give up the idea of taking the Gray's V&T Railroad using eminent domain

-- From the "What's Missing" department, there is no planned follow through on buying the land in Gold Hill next to the Gold Hill Depot.

-- Notice the item where the Commission will discuss meeting every two months and rotating meetings

And away we go!
