The final tally showed SMART only winning 51% of the vote in the combined Marin and Sonoma counties.It needed a two thirds majority(66%) to pass. Taxpayers group against measure I stated. "There's a sentiment that it is a rogue agency and the oversight need to be more robust."
Personally I might add their "about 100 million dollar " Larkspur extension 4/10's of a mile short of the ferry terminal speaks volumes about SMART"s planning, costs and execution.
