"mostly more nonsense from Spotwood on SMART

SMART has made no comment on freight . They know better. SMART never lived up to it's agreement to provide fifteen turnouts to the NWP. No switches has translated to no new business in nine years. The freight business is a wash except for LNP tank car storage in Schellville. SMART"S leadership would be under tremendous pressure to stop the tank car storage, and by doing so eliminate it's only real source of income. The class 1's obsession with PSR and the death spiral for mixed freight boxcar loadings only make things worse. Steve's (synonymous) comment about transit oriented development is spot on.Sonoma county puts housing over industry. I believe with NWP's owner John Williams gone (RIP) their is no vision to expand or change anything.Simply wait out until it can sell for the highest possible price to the state.
