Just to be clear.... none of this is going by rail right now...not even intermodal. Rail has too slow of transit time to replenish right now. Raw materials shipments will increase, but I know several paper plants are shifting off intermodal for the next 2-3 weeks at least.

Also not mentioned in this, is why paper products are vulnerable to rapid depletion... they're very high volume per unit. 4 rolls of TP are the same volume as 20 lbs of flour. An isle of TP is far fewer actual units than an isle of canned goods. Of course, then, the scarcity begets panic buying. A truckload of TP is not that much, most Costco's under normal circumstance get 1/3 of a truckload of Kirkland brand every 2-4 days. If they got 1/3 of a truckload of Cattle Drive chili that often, we'd all die of excessive flatulence, and they would still have 3 years supply sitting on the dock.
