That video link I posted does a pretty good job of outlining its history. I’m assuming you did not watch it? Bottom line, built 1906 by Baldwin for Sierra Railway, it had a long service life on that road, becoming a movie star in its last couple decades. Mechanical problems forced it out of service in 1952, shortly thereafter Sierra sold the tender to the Tidewater Southern for use with their #132. The locomotive sat in Jamestown until sold in 1966. Fred Kepner/Great Western Railway Museum eventually bought it, they stored it in McCloud (California) for quite a few years, it is now in Merrill, Oregon, with the bulk of the rest of the Great Western collection.
