At one time 1727 was ALMOST as nice; 1785 has long been a standard to work towards. But without a really dedicated local "kingpin" such efforts eventually fail.
Now that I got the Dunsmuir City Manager to require the fence stay in place around 1727, the current group has stopped communicating with me, so I have now idea what is presently going on. With the Virus situation, I doubt anything is happening, after all a steam locomotive display is not an "essential service."
Boy have times changed in a few weeks.
