Service has been reduced but not cancelled; except Seattle-Vancouver, BC is cancelled on account border crossing restrictions at Blaine and that Pacific Central Station is closed. So Seattle-Bellingham is reduced to one Thruway motorcoach service a day - bus 5622 leave Seattle 12:15 PM arrive Bellingham 2:15 PM.
Seattle-Portland is reduced to two Cascades service and one Coast Starlight train each day. Alternate service is also provided by Greyhound, Boltbus and Flixbus. Train 501 leaves Seattle 7:25 AM arrives Portland 10:55 AM; train 11 leaves Seattle 9:45 AM arrives Portland 2:00 PM, train 505 leaves Seattle 2:20 PM arrives Portland 5:50 PM.
Portland-Eugene is reduced to one Cascades round-trip, one Coast Starlight, but Thruway bus service appears to be normal or close to normal schedule. Train 11 leaves Portland 2:25 PM arrives Eugene 5:03 PM and train 505 leaves Portland 6:05 PM arrives Eugene 8:40 PM. There are seven Thruway schedules leaving Portland starting at 7:00 AM until 10:00 PM. If your friend is trying to do a same day Seattle-Eugene and back on a train...it's not gonna happen.
