When Was the Mack Moved to Larkspur?

These restored locomotives often have colorful past lives. The Mack, born as SP 2472, somehow ended up in Larkspur for decades before being saved. Not much information about these years. Can someone fill me in on the exact dates of the move to and from Larkspur?
