That is very true if one wants to be that picky.

However, the original poster was obviously not familiar with technical railroad terminology so I seriously doubt he would have had a clue about the technical definition of "fixed signal". Plus, since he specifically said "sign" twice, never "signal" in the body of his post, I think it's very safe to assume he was talking about an actual sign.
