And, despite thus having 24/7 access does anyone believe that maintenance or upgrades in the tunnels will be accelerated? If so,I have a very beautiful bridge for sale.

BART is shut down 4 hours earlier every day and i can almost guarantee that time is being squandered away on somehow not advancing the San Jose extension

David is correct. According to the 03-26-20 BART Board presentation on capital projects, lack of social distancing for crews in BART's Transbay Tube is resulting in a delay. BART and VTA, however, are ramping up work to complete the Silicon Valley Berryessa Extension by shifting operations workers to capital projects.
