Always helps to read the post, that was natural "gas" prices....for electrical generation.
While there are many market segmented range applications and uses for EV's, EV sales are usually hurt by really cheap gasoline prices, from all of the work I've seen for the last 25 years or so... And, since most "non diesel" heavy duty vehicles use CNG, and that is also cheaper than electric heavy duty, with greater ranges, than heavy duty EV"s, cheap CNG for things like buses, will likely hurt things like EV bus sales.
I've driven a few EV's, all of the way back to the first RAV's, EV-1's, and later a Leaf, they're cool. But, I've most often found that cost, range, and utility are usually more important considerations in vehicle purchases, and the strongest deciding factors, in these kind of decisions, not just love...
