Sorry, traveler, I wasn't trying to nitpick. Actually the current location on N Vancouver Avenue has only two streets separating it from NE Portland. It you visited it around 30 years ago you would have been at the prior location on N Montana Avenue which is about 1 1/2 miles northwest of the current location. It was a 30'x80' single story concrete block building which certainly has been dwarfed by the size of the current building. I joined the club in 1966 but left after about 25 years because I just had too many irons in the fire. Being away from home on Amtrak for 100 hours per week at the time left almost no time for the family and some rail-interest activities had to go. I certainly enjoyed my time there as they're a great bunch of guys and gals.
