Series of Arctic disturbances to produce low snow levels in Cal.

A series of Arctic weather disturbances will settle in over California beginning Saturday and continue thru Thursday of next week. Blizzard conditions can be expected from the eastern end of the FRC south to the I-80 corridor from Blue Canyon east across the Overland Route tomorrow night thru Saturday morning. Strongest winds Are expected tomorrow night and Saturday Truckee east including the Washoe Valley with gusts over 60 mph. Snow level will fall Sunday and Monday with snow possible as far south as Red Bluff. Snow is likely in the foothills down to Auburn. Further south snow is possible on the COAST Line at Cuesta.
In Sou. Calif. with HEAVY snow on the Tehacapais and Palmdale-Colton Cut-off and Cajon with significant amounts for mid-December. Conditions will slowly improve beginning Thursday and into next weekend however, after skies clear morning low temps. will be well below zero in the Blues, Eastern Oregon and in the Humbolt Sink, Truckee and around Chemult and Chilliquin on the Natron Cut-off. 24 to 36" of new snow is likely Shed 10 to Shed 47 Saturday thru Monday with more likely next week. In the FRC snow will from west of Jarboe Gap to Doyle with 12 to 24" possible.
