The update is that snow did not accumilate on the roads today.

Rain is heavy. Temps will drop to well below freezing tonight, and the heavy rain will turn to snow. For those who don't know, this will make a slick, smooth piece of ice below fluffy snow that clogs the treads of tires. This lack of friction on a tire combined with lack of friction on the road surface will be a real test of driving skills. Not even my car's new shoes are going to help.

In spite of that, I reeeeeeeelly want to get trackside. I love seeing a train with snow on the plow, and the drits that clog every crevice.
