2nd District heaven.... You're my hero Ferris Bueller...

As a kid who caught rides with Shack, on the 2nd District local, back before the I-210 relocated the line, one of my fondest memories of a long hot summer night, were waiting at the Arcadia depot, looking at the green, up at the curve (where the LRT bridge is today) waiting for the green to turn yellow, then red, then we'd highball the Super Chief and El Cap. You did it twice in a row when they were running as separate sections after Memorial Day. Good quality time spent with great folks like Bob Baumgartner, Gary McClain, Clyde Patterson, Stan Garner, Carl Ragoza... All of whom went on to become famous rails...

Thanks for that...
