Not really. Seems to be an equal balance of trains. That said, the preponderence of empty trains are doubled up. That is 2 empty grainers, 2 empty coals, or 2 empty oil cans or any combo between those. Doubled manifests and stacks too. All of these types of trains run with DPs in the middle and rear.
BNSF has used MRL for directional running back about 10 years ago when there was heavy flooding in the mid-west. But westbounds via MRL and eastbounds via the Hi Line. Lasted about three weeks.
